    Becky joined us in 2010. She is very interested in progressing our practice and making sure we’re up to speed with the latest technology. As a huge animal lover herself, she strives to ensure that we can give the best care to our clients and their pets.

    Veterinary Surgeon & Clinical Director

    BVSc BSc(Hons)

    Leanne graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011, and joined our team in 2022. She has a passion for feline and rabbit medicine and geriatric care, and lives locally with her husband, two children and two cats. She enjoys going to the cinema and theatre, as well as exercising to balance out her cake addiction and love of eating out.

    Yana graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2019, joining the team shortly afterwards. She has progressed through the team to become one of our clinical directors. She is interested in all aspects of small animal clinical practice, especially soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dog, playing in a band and spending time with friends and family.

    Nika has been with us since 2019. She began by volunteering every Sunday while working her primary job and secured a nursing assistant position with us alongside working on reception. She has worked her way up and learned everything she could about the business and is now our Executive Communication and Marketing Co-Ordinator.

    Sarah has been part of our team since 2021, and when she’s not working can often be found competing horses and riding vintage motorbikes around the local area with her partner. A hardcore cruise fanatic, she also enjoys spending holidays at sea.

    Alison graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2011, and joined our practice three years later. She has recently completed her MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour and is now working towards becoming a certified Veterinary Behaviourist. She spends her spare time with her family, walking her dog, Charlie, and looking after her 2 cats, Indy and Hicks.

    Lauren graduated from Liverpool University in 2019 and joined the team in 2021. Lauren’s main interest is dentistry, and she achieved a post graduate certificate in dentistry and oral surgery in 2024. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys running, horse riding, drawing and spending time with family and friends.

    Kate graduated in 2018, and joined the team in 2023. She has a passion for emergency and critical care medicine, having gained a certificate in this clinical area. Outside of work she enjoys helping on her boyfriend’s dairy farm; walking her dog, Percy; and competing in Crossfit competitions.

    Rory joined our team shortly after graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2024. He has a keen interest in avian medicine and conservation, and prior to joining Stanley House completed an externship at The Raptor Centre, University of Minnesota.
    Outside of work, Rory enjoys walking his Border terrier, Margot, trail running, and wildlife photography.

    India joined our team shortly after graduating from the University of Bristol in 2024. Her main areas of interest are feline internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, India enjoys scuba diving, swimming and reading. She also has a keen interest in marine mammal conservation.

    Kira has been with us since 1999, and is a pet health advisor with a particular interest in dentistry work. She was awarded the Veterinary Nurse Educator of the Year award in 2019, and enjoys educating the public about animal welfare and supporting nursing students with their training.

    Natalie graduated in 2009, and joined our team in 2013. She has a foundation degree in veterinary nursing, a certificate in emergency critical care and a diploma in canine behaviour.
    Her interests in practice include all aspects of theatre work. Whilst in her spare time, she enjoys walking her 2 cocker spaniels before relaxing with her daughters watching films.

Her favourite parts of her job are working on the medical ward and as part of our out of hours team, nursing patients in recovery and working with dogs – especially Jack Russell terriers.

    Lucy started working at Stanley house in 2017, and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2021, having achieved her level three nursing diploma. In 2024, Lucy gained an extra qualification which is a certificate in Emergency and Critical care.
    Clinical interests include emergencies and anything to do with the operating theatre.
    Lucy enjoys riding her horses, walking, being outdoors and going on holiday.

    Chanel graduated in 2009, and joined our practice in 2021. She holds a nursing certificate in emergency and critical care, and loves educating pet owners on preventative and senior pet care. She knows that hospitals can be overwhelming for some pets, so likes to make sure that pets recovering from surgery or anaesthesia are calm and comfortable.

She graduated in 2020 and began her veterinary nursing training two years later, which has piqued her interest in the surgical aspects of veterinary care. Outside of work, she enjoys going out for walks with her dogs, teaching horse riding lessons and spending time with friends.

Clare feels very fortunate to have a career helping animals and always strives to treat the patients and the people that love them, with kindness, compassion and respect. Outside of work she plays the violin with local orchestras and enjoys electronic and classical music, especially when the two can be combined!

She enjoys an active home life, which sees her visiting family and friends, travelling, running, cycling, playing badminton and tennis, and mountain and fell walking in the Dales and Lake District with her Labradors, Ruby and Pearl.

    Glenys joined the team in 2010 and was promoted to deputy head receptionist a few years later. Here, she acquired responsibility for the stock and medications, which she found she really enjoyed. In 2021, she became our stock and dispensary manager. Outside of work, Glenys loves to travel, read, visit the theatre and spend time with family, especially her grandchildren.
    There is always at least one pet at home… usually cats that have been a stray from work (hazard of the job, no one escapes the pull of a stray!). The present cat insists on being the only cat, but will tolerate dogs if he has to!

In her own time, she adores cooking, nature, history and anything that’s weird, wonderful and wacky. Her favourite thing to do is cuddle up in front of a fire with her partner, a good horror film and their two pooches, Winston and Frank Banjo.

    Samantha started with us in 2022. She has two dogs, Ember the cocker and Heidi the cavalier, a feral cat she never sees and a hamster called Bonnie.
    In the past, Sam used to foster dogs and sometimes ended up keeping them, one in particular a Cavalier called Meg who became her soul dog.
    In her spare time she enjoys crochet and frog spotting whilst going on walks with her dogs, her highest record was 87!

    In her own time she loves hiking with her two dogs, a Spaniel called Ted Bear and a Border Collie called Alfie Moo. She recently acquired a Russian Dwarf hamster who came into our Burnley surgery as a stray last November, she has named him Jude the Dude…..he has become well known and popular at Stanley House. She also enjoys gardening, DIY and has recently started getting back into the running circuit.

    I joined the Stanley House Vets team in September 2024. I have a Level 3 Diploma in Biomedical Science and a Level 3 Diploma in Forensic Science. I studied these in hopes to become an RVN in the next few years. I have a black cat called Mittens and a mischievous ferret called Pablo. I am bilingual with Lithuanian being my first language and English being my second. In my spare time I enjoy baking sweet treats and spending time with my family and friends.
