About Stanley House

Established in 1911, Stanley House Veterinary Group offer’s high quality, first opinion veterinary care to small animals, horses and farm animals in Pendle, Burnley and surrounding areas. We are an approved Veterinary Nurse training centre and an approved member of the Royal College Practice Standards Scheme.

Small animal facilities are available at Colne and also at our surgeries in Barnoldswick and Burnley. Our farm and equine department is based in Higham.

As a client of Stanley House Veterinary Group you will have access to our excellent 24 hour emergency service, 365 days of the year. Our emergency service is run ‘in-house’ by our own vets so that you will always be seen by a familiar face and at our practice premises.

Zero Tolerance Policy

We value our staff and feel that it is important that clients behave in an acceptable manner towards them.
Stanley House Vets operates a zero tolerance policy with regard to violence, abuse and demanding behaviour.

This practice will NOT tolerate unacceptable behaviour e.g. clients swearing at staff, shouting or being aggressive, bullying, racism and being demanding. 

The practice has the right to remove violent clients with immediate effect in order to safeguard practice staff, clients and animals.

Violence in this context includes actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse which leads to fear for a person’s safety.

In this situation, we will notify the client in writing of their removal from the practice and record it in the clients animal records stating the fact of the removal and the circumstances leading to it.

  • Failure to pay at the time of treatment may incur administration fees.
