My name is Kathryn Wellock. I qualified as a veterinary Nurse at Stanley House in 1996 and continued to work in practice for 18 years.
My passion for training dogs began at the age of 7, I didn’t have my own dog but was well known in my neighbourhood for walking and training any dog I could get my hands on!! I rescued my first dog from Stanley House Vets in 1996 and my passion for training grew further.
In 2010 I completed my PTLLS teaching qualification and in September 2019 completed, with distinction The Practical Application of Teaching People and Training Dogs (Cert. TPTD).
It’s wonderful to be back working alongside the fantastic vets and nurses here at Stanley House where I will be running education evenings all about Puppy Socialisation.
These are free evening talks available to people who are either thinking of getting a puppy or have already welcomed a new addition to their household.
My aim is to provide new or soon to be puppy owners with a wealth of information regarding those really important first few weeks, making sure, as owners, we can give our puppies the very best start they deserve.
If you’ve had a puppy you will know those first few weeks can be quite challenging so I will also be available to answer any questions to help you along the way.
